Will Bird was Canada’s most important writer on the First World War. His books “Ghosts Have Warm Hands” and “Thirteen Years After” are considered classics. In 1930 he wrote his only War novel, “Private Timothy Fergus Clancy.” The book received limited exposure and is today considered a “lost” novel and Bird’s scarcest title.
