Norm Christie’s History Event

1:00pm: Michel Gravel will present on the History of the Red Ensign (The Red Duster) with a focus on it's use in Canada until 1965. The British Red Ensign was first used on English ships as far back as 1620. This simple flag became the most influential flag in the world in the 20th century.
2:00pm: Norm Christie will present on The Great Pilgrimage of 6500 Canadian Pilgrims to France for the unveiling of the Vimy Memorial, July 1936: It was the Bittersweet Swansong of the Great War Generation.
